The Galley in this Alajuela Sailboat is positively stunning, and it is loaded with features. The galley in this Alajuela 38 was based on the original factory Alajuela design. It is to starboard and U-shaped. Jack Wilbur improved upon the original galley design based on his years of experience with ocean cruising; he added some unique details that any ocean cruiser would appreciate. Some of the features include:
- Commercial grade stainless steel counters, which were customized to keep spills contained.
- The sink has both hot and cold pressurized water.
- Lots of wood and beautiful workmanship
- Generous-sized drawers and storage areas
- The generously sized top-loading refrigerator is integrated underneath the chart table, which is on the port side.

- Shipmate 2-burner alcohol stove with oven, mounted in gimbals.
- Single stainless steel sink with stainless steel counter.
- Large refrigerator with hold-over plates, powered by engine-driven Crosby compressor with ingenious external heat exchanger.
